Establishing shot of industrial building (Brad’s apartment building) with voiceover.

BRAD: (Voiceover): I never really believed in Heroes and villains. It always seemed too fallible, too set in stone. Life is never that black and white.  [during intro building shot]

Cuts to shot of living room. Camera shoots over foregrounded bottles to see Brad sitting on the couch, on the phone.

BRAD ON PHONE: “So, tell me the good news. Is everything organized?”

Cuts to femme fatale walking along also on the phone. Dark, stingy street. Possible fog surrounding her. Can hear heels echoing off concrete. Introduces her to audience.

JEN: (British accent to heighten allure??) “I told you, don’t worry. Everything’s going to plan”

Cut back to Brad. Standing up from chair. (same set as first shot)

BRAD: (with extremely serious face) “Great, the bastard won’t know what hit him. I’ll see you soon.

Cuts to Devin sitting at bar looking smug and sleazy.

In the background of the shot you see femme fatale approaching him.

Leans next to him

JEN: (to barman) I’ll take a bourbon. (pulls out cigarette) Devin looks up at her and stares.

JEN: (to Devin) Got a light?

Devin leans over and lights cigarette.

DEVIN: I haven’t seen you around here before

Jen says nothing and just looks at him with a slight smile.

JEN: (after pause) I’m only in town for tonight.

DEVIN: Business or pleasure?

JEN: Business…but I’m open to suggestions.

DEVIN: Fancy getting out of here?

JEN: Sure, I know a  GREAT place.

Devin smiles and turns to leave, Jen pauses and looks suspiciously into distance, before turning to follow him.

Cuts to inside where Camera facing Devin. He is sitting down in seat and Jen is finishing tying the rope up behind him. Devin looks like he is enjoying himself.

Jen then turns to leave.

DEVIN: Hey! What the hell’s going on here? Are you some sort of crazy serial killer? Let me go you psycho bitch!

JEN: Just relax, it’ll all be over soon, I promise.

Walks around to stand in front of Devin who is in chair, puts hands on hips. Seducingly looks at him

DEVIN: You better tell me what’s going on here!

Walks around behind Devin and leans arms on shoulders.

JEN: (says something hinting as to why he’s here, can’t think of it yet)

Before Devin has a chance to think about it, cuts to door where Brad enters looking unshaven and solemn.

Jen puts head up and walks around to stand next to Brad.

Cuts to shot of Jen and Brad both looking at Devin seriously.

JEN: Well, I guess I’ll leave you boys to play.

Jen turns and leaves.

Cut to Brad’s face. (Close up of face)

Takes steps towards Devin.

DEVIN: Listen man. I don’t know what all this’s about, but a lot of people will be looking for me. I can promise you that.

Mid-shot of Brad. Reaches into jacket pocket. Looks like he is reaching for a gun. Music shows tension.

Shot of Devin flinching.

Back to Brad. Mid shot shows him pulling out a ring and holds it up so Devin can see.

Screen fades into Montage.

Fades back into current time.

Close up of Brad’s face and him holding up the ring to Devin.

Close up of Devin’s face. Look of recognition across his face.

DEVIN: No. No way. That was years ago.

Brad flicks the ring into the air.

Extreme close up of ring on the ground rocking from side to side.

Screen goes Black.

Poetry fades in across the black screen OR screen goes back and Brad says the poetry.
